DeIPTV privacy policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026. This is a translation; the Spanish version prevails.
In short
- Your playlists, passwords, favorites and settings are stored encrypted on your device. We don't receive them.
- We don't use third-party analytics, tracking or advertising, nor advertising identifiers.
- Ads in the free version are our own: we only count how many times each one was shown, without knowing to whom.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play; we never see your card details.
- We don't sell or share your data.
1. Who we are
DeIPTV is an app by Deikode, the name under which Daniel Muñoz Pérez, an individual based in Buin, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile, publishes apps ("Deikode", "we"). Daniel Muñoz Pérez is the controller of the processing described here. Contact: contacto@deikode.cl.
This policy covers DeIPTV for Android, Android TV and Windows, in every version (the one in app stores and the one we distribute directly).
2. What DeIPTV is
DeIPTV is a player. It includes no channels, movies or series: it plays the M3U playlists or Xtream Codes accounts you add, from a provider you choose.
3. Data stored only on your device
| Data | Purpose | Protection |
|---|---|---|
| Your sources: server URL, Xtream Codes username and password, M3U URL or file | Connecting to your provider | Encrypted with the system's secure storage (Android Keystore; DPAPI on Windows) |
| Downloaded channel lists, catalog and program guide | Faster and offline display | Encrypted cache |
| Favorites, resume positions for movies and series, and settings | App features | Encrypted in the app's storage |
| Technical error log | Diagnosing problems | Stays on the device and contains no passwords, tokens or account data. It only leaves if you choose to share it from Settings |
| Device code (direct-distribution version only) | Enabling Premium manually (see section 4) | A random code generated by the app; not a hardware identifier |
The app makes no cloud backups of this data. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
4. Connections the app makes
With your IPTV provider
The app connects to the addresses you set up (your provider, the program guide, and the logo and poster images your playlist points to). Those services are not Deikode's and have their own policies; they receive your IP address and the credentials you gave them, like any connection to them.
With Deikode's server
- Our own ads (free version): the app downloads the list of current ads and their images, and sends aggregated counts of how many times each ad was shown, per platform and day. Those counts carry no identifier of you or your device.
- Code activation (direct-distribution version only): the app checks whether its device code has Premium enabled. If you request activation, the code is linked in our system to its end date and, if you give them to us, to your name or a payment reference. We never store card details.
Like any web server, ours may briefly record the connection's IP address in technical security logs. We don't store it in our database or use it to identify you.
With Google Play (purchases)
Subscriptions and the "forever" purchase use Google Play's payment system. Google processes the payment and its data under its own privacy policy. The app only learns from Google whether you have an active purchase, to enable Premium.
5. What we don't do
- We use no third-party analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.
- We don't access your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- We don't record which channels, movies or series you watch.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Android permissions
- Internet and network state: to play content and know whether you are online.
- Google Play billing: for in-app purchases.
7. How long we keep data
- Data on your device: until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
- Aggregated ad counts: 24 months.
- Code activations: while active, then as sales and support history; you can ask us to delete them.
- Server technical logs: the minimum time needed to keep the service secure.
8. Security
We encrypt sensitive data on the device and use encrypted connections (HTTPS) with our servers. If your IPTV provider uses unencrypted connections (HTTP), the app warns you first, because your credentials would then travel to your provider unprotected.
9. Your rights
Under Chilean Laws 19,628 and 21,719 on personal data protection, you may request access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability and blocking of your personal data. Most of your data is only on your device and under your control: you can edit or delete it from the app or by clearing its data. For data we process (for example, a code activation), write to contacto@deikode.cl and we will answer within the legal deadlines. You may also complain to Chile's personal data protection authority.
10. Minors
DeIPTV is not intended for minors. What is shown depends on the playlists each person adds; we don't knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
If we change what the app does with data (for example, when accounts and cross-device sync arrive), we will update this page and the date above before the change reaches the app.
